Yes! It’s time again for the Annual Central Ohio Push-hands Conference, right here in Columbus!

The Fifth Annual Central Ohio Push-hands Conference is right around the corner –

Saturday,  November 17th, 2018.

Learn more about push-hands as part of any T’ai Chi practice, whether focused on maintaining health or developing a traditional martial art.  This conference is open to all martial artists, at all levels.  If you are just beginning, there are special sessions to introduce you to the basics of Push-hands and Taiji principles.  If you have done push-hands practice before, there will be opportunities to push with many other students in a friendly and safe environment.  If you are an advanced competitor in push-hands, you will find participants who are willing to, “relax harder,” on the large matted areas.

The event is free to attend!

There will be a side table for donations to help cover costs (suggested $5 to $10).

We’re also happy to invite practice groups and schools to bring small flyers or cards

to be shared on a display table.

Why push-hands?

  • builds community
    • interact with your fellow students!
  • offers unique perspective on development
    • careful contact shows your teacher’s advice at work!
  • builds a common language with T’ai Chi friends around the world
    • all branches of T’ai Chi include push-hands!

Master Jeff Radcliff

Smiley faceJeff Radcliff is a 20th generation practitioner of Chen style Taijiquan. He is a disciple of Grandmaster Chen Qingzhou and a 20 year student of Master Zhang Xue Xin.Jeff has practiced Chinese martial arts for more than 30 years; he is a repeating international push-hands champion and has been awarded the Grandmaster title at the Arnold International Martial Arts competition.Jeff has studied Chinese soft and hard style martial arts -Gong Fu- for over 30 years. He has studied, competed nationally, and researched Taijiquan since 1979, and began teaching as assistant to Dr. “Fred” Ming An Wu at Ohio State University in 1979.
Dr. Wu’s tutelage lead Jeff through many Kung Fu styles, much Yang style and Chen style Taijiquan, Qigong, Taiji philosophy, Yi Ching and Taoist acumen.
It became clear upon studying Wu Style and with several other styles of qigong teachers (Professor Bi Xu Xen, Bin Hong, etc.) that Chen Style Taiji was the foundation to Taiji and was to be his future path in which deepen his martial and spiritual experience.
Then Jeff met Master Zhang Xue Xin (early 1990’s) to carry him forward.
